On February 2, the SONATA team supported the “Final Workshop for Farmers-Scientists” within the project Cultivating Soil Connectivity: Empowering Farmers and Youth Community as Citizen Scientists to Monitor Soil Health and Biodiversity organized in BioSense. This Info day focused on engaging the local community, presenting the SONATA project, Nature-based Solutions (NbS), and the geoplatform. Participants completed an anonymous survey to help align development with user needs and assess current NbS awareness. A lively discussion highlighted strong interest in this topic and laid the groundwork for future collaboration.
On March 12, the SONATA team continued community engagement with a visit to Gospođinci, a village in the Žabalj municipality known for vegetable production. The aim was to connect with local farmers, present Nature-based Solutions (NbS), the geoplatform, and broader SONATA objectives, while also gathering their perspectives and priorities. The discussion provided valuable insights, highlighting diverse viewpoints and contributing to a broader understanding of how different groups perceive NbS. Particpiants showed interest towards future updates on SONATA outcomes.
