Online Workshop on Boosting BIOS Capacity for Managing and Coordinating R&I HE Projects

In this one-day training, held on March 18, BIOS’s twinning partners, FIHAC and UNIOVI, presented their institutional R&I structures and shared best practices for managing and coordinating R&I HE projects, increasing the efficiency of work for researchers and M&A staff.

The session began with an overview of IHCantabria, presented by Patricia Bueno, followed by a discussion led by Carlos Gutierrez on the organization, profiles, roles, and responsibilities within UGITT. Silvia Fernández then covered the management of EU projects, specifically reviewing the Consortium Agreement (CA).

After the break, Juan Ortiz and Carlos Gutierrez shared tools and best practices for managing EU projects. The Communication team presented strategies for handling communication challenges. The University of Oviedo team, represented by Jose Manuel Álvarez, Marta Pérez, and Borja Jimenez, provided insights on best practices. The session concluded with a Q&A.

The goal of this training was high-level knowledge transfer in research project management, equipping BIOS M&A staff to become key contributors to the European project ecosystem.
